Daystar Greasable Tow Shackles

Daystar makes shackles that are greasable as well as shackles that are not able to be greased.  Their Super Shackles have been designed with the extreme off road warriors on mind though.  They have a design that is very rigid and this should make you rest assured that when you are on the trails or on the daily commute, you are driving with the most stable and strongest shackles that your money can buy.

Some of their shackles – the ones they call Rock Crushers – have been made specifically for use on rigs that spend a lot of time on the trails.  These shackles have been made from ¼ inch side plates that are heavy duty and they have bushings and bolts that are able to be greased.  They have a design that is easy to be bolted together.  These Rock Crusher shackles that are brought to you by the minds at Daystar allow for your Jeep’s springs to feely articulate which then allows for your tires to be able to get a better grip on the terrain – regardless of what that terrain is.  These shackles are great for use in towing applications and they are also a great replacement for your factory installed shackles.

Features at a Glance

·         These shackles have been made by Daystar with pride right here in the USA

·         They come to you complete with a limited warranty that is good for a lifetime

·         These heavy duty shackles have been made from plate steel that has a thickness od ¼ inch

·         They have also been given a zinc plate finish so that they have more resistance to corrosion

·         These shackles are able to be greased – on both the bushings and the bolts

·         This is a great option for those who wish to replace their shackles that were installed by the factory

·         These shackle sets that are able to be greased have bolt heads that are complete with zerk nozzles that have been incorporated into them.  These nozzles have been designed specifically to spread the lubrication in a uniform manner in all areas of the bushings

·         The center bar of these shackles gives the shackle more strength while it also reduces the deflection of the axle so that you get handling that is more stable regardless of whether you are on the road or on the trails

·         These shackles are also available in a version that is not able to be greased

Axle shackles actually play a vital part in keeping rigs that are equipped with leaf springs stable.  They keep the axle secure in its intended position in order to minimize the deflection from bending while also allowing the leaf springs to have free articulation.
